I don't think the final results for the Preditors & Editors Readers Poll is out until the officials finish checking. However the page that said Semi-official final tallies had the following results:

Mystery - Glastonbury by Brian Porter is first.

Children's -

• If Wishes Were Fishes by N.A. Sharpe, illustrated by Ginger Nielson is in second
• A Wish and a Prayer by Beth Reinke, illustrated by Ginger Nielson is third
• The Giving Meadow by Stephanie Burkhart, illustrated by Stephen Macquignon is ninth
• In My Bath by Beth Reinke, illustrated by Ginger Nielson is tied for tenth

Young Adult - Dogsled Dreams by Terry Lynn Johnson is tied for tenth

Mainstream Novel -

• A Distant Summer by Mike McNair is in first
• Stolen by Vivian Zabel is in fourth

The final results for the Preditors & Editors Readers Poll won't be out until the officials check for stuffing and inaccuracies. However, the poll is closed as of yesterday, and the non-official standings as of this morning for 4RV Publishing is as follows:

Two 4RV picture books nominated for the Cybils Award

If Wishes Were Fishes by N.A. Sharpe and illustrated by Ginger Nielson is one of the picture books from 4RV Publishing nominated for the Cybils Award.

The other nominated picture book from 4RV is In My Bath by Beth Bence Reinke and illustrated by Ginger Nielson.


Both books are fun to read with bright, attention-grabbing illustrations by Ginger. The company is fortunate to have talented authors and illustrators.


I'm not sure what happens now, but if either or both are award winners, I'll be sure to post the results. Of course the company believes both books are already winners, and so will any child who has a copy.
