All children gone far away - to all intents and purposes

Bob and Brenda - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - most of family

My youngest and his family are gone, or so close to being already in Austin, Texas, that it may as well be over. They are loading up everything in their house in Norman, Oklahoma to be stored in Austin until they find a house there.

I really didn't get to say goodbye to anyone except Randy and Ryan, when they traded my van for Janelle's Darango after using it for a flying trip south for Janelle's interview. I guess any goodbye isn't official because we'll see them again.

We're looking at ways to go visit. I'm researching taking the train. Flying is soooo expensive, and the time involved, by the time waiting after checking in at an airport, having to change flights in Dallas and the layover, doesn't make flying any less time consuming than taking the train. The main problem is Robert being able to transport his power chair while we are in Austin.

However, if possible we will find a way, even if we didn't when visiting Bob in Colorado Springs. Life with children who have to go where jobs take them is hard on them and on us.

Rene is in West Virginia; Bob in Colorado; and now Randy in Texas. *sigh* To all intents and purposes, all our children are gone far away.

Vivian...distance is always difficult. Hang in there. The train sounds much easier.

Best wishes,

Good thing we have the Internet to keep in touch and send photos back and forth. I don't care for Skype though. Photo and video clips work just fine. Have a great weekend.
